Why you should not wait
Damas roots grow towards water. Left alone they get into your water and sewage pipes, block the drains, crack the boundary wall and undermine paving and pool shells. The longer the tree stays, the bigger the root system — and the more expensive both the removal and the repairs become.
Damas seeds and seedlings are now banned in the UAE precisely because of this damage. Read the background in our guide to why the damas tree is banned.
Warning signs to look for today
- Your DEWA bill has jumped with no change in usage
- Damp ground or pooling water near the tree or a wall
- Drains that keep blocking
- A boundary wall that is cracking, bulging or leaning
- Lifted paving, interlock or pool decking
- Surface roots heading toward the villa
What we actually do
- Free site survey — including what is buried nearby: water lines, drainage, pool shell, wall footings
- Safe felling — dismantled in sections when it is tight against a wall, pool or villa
- Full root and stump extraction — so it cannot regrow
- Damage check on the pipework, wall footings and paving the roots reached
- Backfill, clean-up and green-waste removal
- Replanting with a species that will not repeat the problem
Cutting the trunk is not removal. Leave the roots in the ground and the tree regrows — and keeps working into your pipes.
Common questions
Do you cover my area?
Yes — we work across all of Dubai. If your community is not in the list above, call us and we will confirm.
How soon can you come out?
We aim to get to you quickly for the survey. Call or WhatsApp +971 50 495 4437 and we will book you in.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the size of the tree or the length of the hedge, how close it sits to walls, pools and pipework, and how much root extraction is needed. We look at it, then give you a fixed price. The visit is free.
Will it grow back?
Not if the roots come out. That is the whole job.
